There are pregnancy tests that can detect the pregnancy hormone before your missed period.  I would test now- it beats worrying and wondering!  If it is negative, and you still feel differently than you do when your period does come, and you are a day or so late, I would test again.  Sometimes it takes a little more time for the pregnancy hormone to become strong enough to be detected.  It all depends on how long it has been since the egg was fertilized.  Were you and your Fiance ttc?

Honestly the symptoms seem different for everyone! Some people even have NO symptoms right before their BFP. For me personally I got creamy CM a few days before my BFP and I got hit with a wave of exhaustion 2 days before. I’d say wait another day or two just to be sure of the test’s accuracy. Good luck! 🙂

i was not looking for pregnancy symptoms at all, so i didn’t really notice any except for my boobs getting a little sore/bigger. and i 100% assumed it meant my period was coming. i remember 10 days later when i still had no period (but was not worried yet since my period never came when i expected), both Darling Husband and I noticed that my boobs still looked a little bigger and i was like “ya, that’s the only thing that makes me think i could be pregnant because normally when that happens i get my period within a day or two”.

But like Elley said, different symptoms can occur for different ppl in different severities.

For me, my symptoms were not any different than when I would get my period. I had sore breasts a few days before. No cramping. Not really any more moody or anything like that, so I was really surprised when I got a positive test!

Good luck! I hope you get the result you want!

We tried for 5 months. For the first 4 I was sure I was pregnant (and wasn’t). For the 5th month I was sure it hadn’t worked because I felt really bloated and got that crampy feeling I get before I start my period. Lo and behold, that’s the month I got pregnant.

You could get a false negative this early, so if you can wait for 3 more days I would recommend it.

I have had every symptom in the book and not been pregnant, it varies so much. This current pregnancy sore breasts were my big tipoff and then I missed my period and tested.

It varies greatly. I would wait until you were late – I have wasted a lot of money on tests! It’s the most accurate to wait until you miss your period, though.

Agree that it varies. Mine felt exactly like I was starting my period. Like tampOns in my purse and running to the bathroom thinking I was about to start. So who knows!

I think the only symptoms I had were a dramatically increased sense of smell and one extremely sore nipple. I never had a lot of pre-period symptoms, except an increase in bitchiness.

The only pregnancy symptoms that appeared before my BFP were the boobs getting sore/bigger (though Fiance noticed the change in size before I did) and the fatigue (but that one I thought was maybe some pain medicine I had been taking when I had a sebaceous cyst removed from my lower back, more specifically above my lower left kidney; said medicine had the disclaimer “may cause drowsiness”).  It was in late March when I took two home tests on two different days, both negative. By sometime in April, Fiance had a gut feeling that I was pregnant. It was a few days into my April period being a no show during the time I was expecting it that I tested again, and it turned out positive. (I went to a clinic a couple of days later to make sure it wasn’t a false alarm.)

I was nauseous and dizzy from around the time I ovulated until the day my period was due (and never came).  I actually left work early the day before I tested because I was SO nauseous.  Immediately following the positive test, I started getting wicked period-like cramps.  Aaaaaaand weeks later, they’re still here.  Blech.

i have irregular periods and hadn’t had one for around 6 months or so….which is normal for me …because of the irregularity, i know i’m going to have my period when i started cramping and my breasts get sore and i have to pee a lot and tmi, but it’ll hurt when Darling Husband and I have sex….those where all the same symptoms i got so i just figured i was going to get my period finally sometime soon….2 weeks later, still had the same symptoms but no period so I took a test since i was already technically 6 months late…lol  it was possitive and i wasn’t expecting it to be at all….so yes, sometimes period like symptoms can be the same in the beginning as pregnancy symptom….but i wil agree with previous posters that everyone is different….i hear a lot of women don’t get a BFP until there about 5 weeks along…..turns out i got mine around 2-3 weeks so everyone is different…..

I think you should check if you are not sure and if it comes out negative, you should wait a bit longer and check again if you still don’t get your period. I had what seemed to be pregnancy symptoms not too long ago. I was really convinced that i was pregnant because of my crazy symptoms and also my period was 2 weeks late but it turned out that my period was just late.
