My fiance and I was suppose to do exactly this on our 6 year anniversary from when we met and our wedding anniversary to be but I have to work. We were going to celebrate staying at our winery. boo. Wish I could get off. Enjoy yourselves.

We actually split the difference between our actual anniversary (1 Nov) and our future wedding date (3 Nov) and went out for a celebration dinner on the 2 Nov!

My fiance and I went out to see an old friend of mine compete in a comedy show. I hadn’t seen her in forever, and a bunch of other people I hadn’t seen since high school also showed up. When someone asked me when the wedding would be, I realized it was exactly 1 year away and was like “oh! It’s our pre-anniversary!”

I’m just happy that now when I give the date, I won’t have people thinking I mean it’s in just a few weeks. We got engaged in September, and a couple of the vendors, even though I said 2013, didn’t register that part and were like “wow, that’s soon, you’re really waiting until the last minute” and I’d have to say, “no, next year”.

Since our dating anniversary, like other hive-members here, is also our wedding date-to-be, we did the usual anniversary stuff (dinner and small pressies).

I decided to start a scrapbook (using the Project Life system, to keep it relatively simple) specifically of the year leading up to the wedding just so we can remember the little details. It also reminds me to take pictures of him, me, and us on the regular–something we’ve been kind of lax on in general–so that’s good.

One year away tom! We are going out to a nice dinner at one of our favorite places to celebrate 🙂 I’m glad we aren’t the only ones doing something like this, but we call it our “reverseavvisary”(reverse-anniversary) I can’t believe how quickly these past 5 months have gone by! I actually have to start booking some more vendors!
