@MackieBleu:  I probably wouldn’t start any new skin care routines two weeks out; I think the risk of irritation or breakouts from something new is larger than the possibility of sudden onset of photogenicicity from anything you could start doing today. But I am have finicky skin, maybe you’ve had better luck with new routines than in the past.

My only recommendation would be lots of water, sleep, and as much moderate exercise as you can handle. Those are the things that reliably make me look/feel great. Anything you put directly on your skin is risking a reaction and you’re too close to the day to experiment with that.

Two suggestions that have done wonders for my blonde hair: oil masks and Jhiramack’s purple shampoo! Both seriously effective, and seriously cheap. Since you’re doing oil pulling, you already have coconut oil on hand, but honestly sometimes I just use plain olive oil or grapeseed oil, depending on what I have on hand. Just saturate your hair in oil, making sure to get the ends. Put your hair up in a shower cap, wrap a warm towel around it, and relax! When you wash it out, you’ll have soft shiny touchable hair!

The shampoo is made by Jhiramack, and at least in my area, it’s a bit tricky to find. You can order it on drugstore.com for three or four dollars, I can sometimes find it in one of my local grocery stores (I’ve never found it at Walmart or Target, etc. big box stores). It’s in a silver and purple bottle, name is something like Simply Ageless. It’s designed to counteract brassiness and dullness in blonde and gray hair. Seriously will bring out your beautiful natural blonde.  Hope these help!

@MackieBleu:  I’ma couple months out and started taking zinc and using my clarisonic more often. I have acne and sensitive skin, and I’m trying soooo hard to avoid crazy breakouts that week.

Good luck!
