If you think that’s bad, I just had a linens meeting yesterday in which I was loving a solid dupioni tablecloth. Just received an e-mail with the estimate and they’re 60 dollars PER tablecloth! Um, farewell dupioni tablecloths!

Honestly I dont think that is too much for linens – they have to deliver it (gas) and pick it up (gas) and have them cleaned.  Try and talk to your caterer or venue to see if they can get a better deal for you.  I rented my satin linens that were about $19 each for the wholesaler price and then I got 3 other linens from a different company that were sequined and beautiful to go on our sweetheart table and cake table and they were $65 each!

I just have to vent and say that I agree. My original idea for a tablecloth was in the $50-$60 price range. The first time a rental place quoted me that price I said they’re CRAZY!!! And then I realized every other rental place was crazy as well. It was pintuck silver tablecloth, cute and all but $50-60 for rental??? No way Jose. I opted for a very cute but much cheaper option. Funny thing is there were way more expensive tablecloths, I guess I am being either naive or cheap but there’s no way someone should pay that much for a tablecloth.
