we’ve just got engaged (3 weeks ago!) and are getting married in August. Money is tight for the wedding – very limited budget – but this is what we wanted… we want the marriage to be the focus and the wedding just the start!
Does anyone have any ideas about how we could decorate the tables for the reception?? Our theme is green and brown, and we want simple, classy, elegant, a bit vintagey… and cheap! We’re not against making things – we’d love to in fact – but we want things that aren’t too hard to make look good!
Darling other half doesn’t want anything tall on the table, which rules out my idea of having potted hydrangeas on the table (which were going to double up as thank you gifts!).
Thank uou 🙂

Check out YoungHouseLove’s blog – they have a wedding tab outlining their super cheap and amazing wedding. You can definitely get inspired there! Also, what about pretty bowls in a bright color – maybe yellow or silver – filled with succulents?

I think gold and copper would be good accent metallics. You could paint the insides of clear Frappucino bottles and put grocery store flowers in the day of. If you were going to drink the frappucino anyway and only needed about 12 centerpieces, you could probably do all of them for under $150.

I am reusing old wine bottles and painting them as my centerpieces.

Use a cluster of simple glass bottles, wrap with twine or burlap, add simple flowers. You could use a tree slice as a base if you like.
