I know that RB moissanites are generallt cut flatter/have a lower table height than RB diamonds, but I can’t seem to find any photos of a side-by-side profile comparison. Does anyone have one, or would a diamond and moissanite owner mind taking a photo? 😀
Also, to clarify – OEC moissanites are cut exactly like OEC diamonds, right?

ETA: Sorry, I forgot that I started the same topic a few days ago. >.< I’m such a turkey and still in holiday mode! But I didn’t get any answers anyway, so hopefully someone will be able to comment on this one. 😛

@ChicFoodist: I have both oec and rb moissanite. The oec moissanite (to my understanding from a jeweler) is cut like to oec diamond. I think that all oec diamonds are cut differently though because you see a large variation in facet pattern. I have a diamond ring as well but it is emerald cut so the crown heightbetw een that and the rb will not help. I know there are others on here that can probably do the comparison shots 🙂

@ChicFoodist: I have both an RB and an OEC moissanite. The OEC is cut curvier than the RB, and it’s much more like a diamond. The RB is cut too shallow for me to like it for a ring, but it’s fine for earrings. Here’s a comparison of my RB earring and OEC engagement ring. Unfortunately I don’t have a diamond to compare them to, but I’d imagine that an RB diamond would be somewhere between the two.

@HomeschoolingBeeof4: Thank you! By the way, your rose gold ring is just stunning! 🙂
@DarlingClementine: Thank you so much for the comparison shot! 😀
