Yes, I would never pay that much. You can find them much cheaper. : (14 votes)

Chances are, you can buy them much cheaper and then sell them later to recoup some of your money.

my FI’s friend is an event planner.  we are getting table linens through him as he is giving us his cost with no mark up.  we picked a “crush” pattern.  they are $25/linen, napkins are $2.

let’s assume they are the same cost, $40/table seems a bit high for markup, he’s making almost double.  i would keep looking around.

tablecloths were included with my venue and they gave me all the upgraded options of pintuck, crush, satin, dazzle, and pretty much everything the rental company had.  i did price out tablecloths when i was considering using a different venue.  i looked up rental prices for pintuck in the catalog of the rental company that our work often uses and the most expensive round pintuck was $28 each. do you need a shimmery gray or will regular gray or shimmery silver work?  I remember seeing regular polyester tablecloths for about $12 each.

i know you specified gray but here’s a silver satin.

I’m not sure what pintuck is, but we rented very high quality colored shantung tablecloths for about $30 each ($1.35 per napkin in bengaline).  They were 132″ rounds that fit 72″ tables to the floor.  The cost was the same for the matching tablecloths we got for the 8 ft bar tables and 6 ft DJ table.  We paid about $26 for 108″ rounds for the cake table and some cocktail tables.  We used BBJ Linen which is a very large national linen rental company.  Good luck!
