We did a mock-up of our reception tables when I was in town over the weekend. Half of the tables will be green, and half will be purple. Obviously the tables will be bigger so the centerpieces will feel less cramped, and they will have silverware, napkins, and glasses on them. I’m also going to turn the floating candle upside down, and stick a table number into it, so we have floating table numbers!! The picture frames will have picture of Fiance and I at the age of the table number (ie. age 2 for table 2, you get it)
What do you think?

that;s really pretty! Great job!

@mrscali13: I like it except for the rose. For a submerged flower centerpiece I prefer a more interesting flower like orchids, flowering branches, glads etc.

all looks great except for the submerged rose

@minniemluv: I wonder if the rose would look better if it was cut a little shorter and the top wasnt so close to the candle?

1. The picture idea of you guys is SO cute (dint think I have heard of that one before.
2. I agree, can you either switch flowers or cut the rose shorter?
3. Can you steam the colored fabric?

Maybe use an orchid?? It looks good, but no glasses, or silverwar?

Nice! Looks similar to what I’m thinking of doing, except maybe I’d cut the stem off the flower so it’s resting directly on the beads and theres a bit more space between it and the candle. Also, if you don’t mind me asking, where did you get your vases from?

Thanks, everyone. I actually forgot to mention that the rose is not actually the flower we’ll be using, it’s just a flower we had lying around the house, so I figured I’d use it.
@nonapkns: We’re definitely going to steam the overlays. They’re actually folded under, too, because the table isn’t the same size we’re going to have at the reception.
@cece_intheuk: We got the vases at Michael’s. They were having a great sale, so we bought them all and didn’t even use our 50% off coupons. There was one display that had a bunch of different sized cylinder vases and a bunch of different apothecary jars (for candy buffets) right near the fake flowers.

I like the rose, but I would either weight it down/cut it shorter so that it is not right up under the candle. It makes it look like the candle because they are the same color.

Looks great, love the colors and the vases. Such a cute and personal idea with the pictures being the table numbers. Very unique. I would agree with other bees of not using the rose, but you mentioned that was just what you had on hand. What type of flower are you planning on using? The silk orchids at the craft store look very pretty in the cylinder vases.
