I’m thinking of doing table names instead of numbers

Just not with THAT name lol..
Then have their escort cards tell them they are sitting at the table of love.. table of happiness… table of honesty.. etc etc?
What do you think?

honestly…. its a SUPER cute idea…..however every wedding that we have been to that did this confused us! unless your names have some sort of order…or you have a host/hostess directing people to thier table…it can get a little scrambled.
Your idea is beautiful though!

I think that’s cute! We’re not havint table numbers either. We’re naming our tables after streets in the neighborhood we both grew up!

It does help to have a diagram next to the escort cards that indicates the layout of the tables with their table names.

I agree with princesspretti24 – it’s a cute idea, but just make sure it will work out smoothly – either because it’s a small wedding and you don’t have a ton of tables, so not a lot of confusion, or do some kind of chart showing the layout of the tables or have someone directing people. I like the idea of table names, too, but with 15+ tables I don’t even think I’m gonna go there.

I love that idea! I went to a great wedding where they named all tables by their cats’ names and had pictures of them, too! They had a lot of cats 🙂

I am doing table names instead of numbers! My fiance and I are both from Baltimore and we love the city and met here so we are doing street names for our table names…example “Charles Street”, “Lombard Street”, “Light Street”….our wedding is also right downtown in the city so it will go with our theme!

I was originally thinking of naming each table the name of a song – and then when it’s played that table has to dance. I realized it would be super confusing so I am doing both – giving each table a number and a song.
you could make table one the table of love, table 2 the table of happiness, etc etc

@squeak:hahahahahhahhaha I wish I had that many cats! I AM CRAZY CAT LADY! lol, seriosusly I love cats. I have two, and they are my precious babies. <3
As for the tables, we’re not doing numbers either. We’re “naming” each table with an Andy Warhol painting, so each table just has photo. Not even a name! lol… This idea definitely has the potential to get crazy with ~150 guests, so we FOR SURE will have to have some sort of chart or something for everyone.

I think names are so much better than numbers, especially if they have a theme.
