So we’re doing song names for our table names and we’re super excited about it. We are doing tent cards on the table, which gives us the option of putting something on the backside of the table name … we were planning to put our favorite quote from the song as well as why we chose the song (first dance, father/daughter, last dance, ceremony processional, favorite karaoke song, etc. etc. ) — do you think, as a guest, you would a) notice it? and b) care at all? Just want to make sure we aren’t wasting our time!
Also – is there anything else we could/should put on the back?

I would definitely notice – I think it’s such a great idea! We may actually consider stealing it!

I think it would be a lovely touch! I went to a wedding recently where the tables were named after mountains, but we had no idea how each of the mountains related to the couple… so it was just a little less memorable.

I love this idea! I love little weird trivial things like that- such a small detail with such a huge impact! Plus, it would be a good way for people to mingle if they wanted to read all the table names.

I love stuff like that! I’m not sure if everyone would notice, but I think perhaps recent brides or brides-to-be would.

As a guest, I would love knowing why you picked certain things and what made them so special to you. I think that is such a great idea and I might do something like that myself!

I think you should definitely do it. Especially the reason why you chose the song.

Thanks all — we already have more then 1/2 of them all set and ready to go, so I think we’ll go forward with it.
@amanda – feel free to steal it!!

I think it’s a fun idea. It’s one of those details that helps people learn more about you as a couple or a fun random fact.

I think that putting some information on the back would be a great way to make it a little more personal. As a guest I would love reading them. I always wonder why a couple picked a certain song anyway

Very cute idea! I think it will spice up the tent cards, and I always love having something to read (menu, program, etc) at the table while I’m waiting for dinner to be served.

I had a couple do this, but with restaurants that meant something to them. The tables were named after each restaurant and then a short story of why that restaurant was important to the couple was written below the name. It was an instant conversation starter and I think all of their guests really enjoyed it. So go for it!
