We’ve doing numbers – names are too confusing. There are alot of other ways to include personal touches without inconviencing your guests.

We did numbers. I’ve only been to one wedding that did names. While it was really cute, I think it’s important to remember that the names are more meaningful to you than they are to your guests. That doesn’t mean it can’t work; just something to keep in mind. To us, numbers were just easier and more logical.

We are doing numbers, but we are considering putting pictures of ourselves at each age on the signs to add a personal touch (for example, a picture of each of us at age 4 on table 4, etc.).

The problem with table names is that people have a hard time finding the tables.  I think, if you’re going to do names, you should also use numbers, such as having “Table 1- Paris” or “Table 3- Titantic” or whatever your theme is.

We did numbers. I think they’re easier to understand at a glance. I don’t really get naming tables personally. I’m all about making things easier for people lol.

Numbers. Guests don’t give a hoot that the tables are named after every city you have visited, your favorite candy or whatever- they just wanna sit down.

Numbers, for the exact problem you’re having.  Table numbers are supposed to help guests find their seats, and if there’s no pattern to the names, they’re no help.  They’re cute, but not really helpful for finding seats.

We did numbers. We thought about doing names but we couldn’t really think of anything creative enough. We ended up spicing them up with Super Mario characters to reflect a bit of DH’s personality (since, ya know, everything else was totally ME). My mother absolutely HATED them (she thought they were tacky and declassed our whole wedding) but everyone else seemed to really like them…

There are SO many ways that you can add some extra pizazz to boring table numbers. You just have to get creative.

We also did photos of us at every table — pictures of us at age 1 at Table 1, and so on!
