I originally planned on having a seating chart, so I made some super cute table numbers. We’re doing like a vintage skeleton key thing.. The keys show up in several different places, but our table numbers are vintage doorknobs and plates.. Anywho.. We’ve changed things around now and aren’t having a seating chart. but my table numbers really tie the whole theme together and I don’t think it would make sense with out them?? Should I keep the numbers even though there’s no seating chart?

@Margiecrane23: You at least have to tell people at which table they’ll be sitting. That alleviates a lot of confusion and anxiety.

@Margiecrane23: I plan on having table numbers with no seating chart. I think it’s good for guests to identify what table they sat at, it can be confusing in a sea of tables that all look the same. I’ll just have a table with guest’s escort cards that they pick up and bring to their table.

I think it’s fine to still have table numbers even if it’s open seating. Not necessary, but if you love them keep them!
