The tables at my reception venue are 66″ round tables…She said this will seat 6-10 people but do not put more than 10 people at each table. Before I knew this, I was thinking I would have 10 tables of 10 people (so asked for 10 centerpieces with the florist) …I do not want to have to pay for extra centerpieces, so does anyone know if 10 people will be able to sit at a 66″ table comfortably? I have no idea ..but I do not want to cramp people in.
Also, I want to buy overlays for the table..and I see that they come in 60″, 72″, 85″ on the site I’m looking at….which ones do I purchase?! I want them to hang over a little with no table exposed at the top..
Thanks in advance for any help!

You would normally seat 8 at a 66″ table. Many sites will tell you 8-10 but your guests would find it a bit crowded with 10 at a table.
The 85″ overlays will give you a drop (the amount that hangs over the edge) of 9.5 inches on each side.

We are seating 8 at 60″ tables and 10 at 72″ tables, but I think it also depends on how large the chairs are at your venue, ours are large.
For overlays I think I’m going to purchase 72″ square overlays for our 60″ tables and 85″ overlays for our 72″ tables. I found this site and bookmarked it a while ago: http://www.eventsandtents.net/images/Brochure_Rental_Rates_for_Linens.pdf

We also sat 8, 10 can work (some guests actually took their place setting and added it other tables!) but 10 is a little crowded.
Instead of buying additional centerpeices, you can alternate and perhaps have some sort of candle centerpeice for the ones that don’t have flowers.

Thank you ladies!
@AnnieAAA, did you seat 8 at 60″ or 66″??
