@Regina Phalange:  RIGHT?! I hate it! People on my pinterest homepage keep pinning basketweave braid tutorials and I’m so confused as to why they’d ever want to know how to do that. Are you going to be trying to carry fruit with your hair? No? THEN WEAR A NORMAL DAMN BRAID!

I don’t get the moustach thing either.

I also don’t understand the over-accessorizing. Like multi-finger rings and stuff hanging off everyone’s clothes that looks like it takes an extra hour to put on even after you’ve already been dressed.

I hate fake eyelashes. I can’t do them myself, tried, failed miserably, and now I feel like my lashes are never enough because of people like Kim Kardashian out there with HUGE lashes.

Most of all though, I don’t get the leather shorts that girls are wearing. Like seriously, what is the correct season to wear those in? Any time I would be wearing short would be the last time I would be thinking to wear leather and any season appropriate for leather isn’t the right time for shorts. I just don’t get it.

OH, also with hairstyles, that thing where people are having the huge bun on top of their heads. Just NO.

And all over crazy hair color. I think it’s cute, but it’s not practical. Seriously, unless you’re a stripper, tattoo artist, or famous, where can you get a job with all over hot pink hair??

I don’t mind the skinny jeans, I just HATE when I see them on

1) teenage boys

2) any boy

3) girls who are pairing them with huge brightly colored sneakers…yuck.

I don’t understand the hi-low hem fad going on.. For instance, this “extreme” one from Express..

Most of mine are hair related. I hate this new trend of suuuper deep side parts, ala Chelsea from Teen Mom. Or nonexistent parts, where the hair falls but you can’t see a part at all. I also have noticed an increasing amount of women wearing wavy/curly hair with straight bangs. Not a fan. Oh! Nude lipstick is a big one. Nude is great when done right. But most of the time it just looks like the girl slathered her lips in paste. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t think it’s flattering when your lipstick is the same shade as your concealer. When your lips match your face, you look like death.

I’ll admit to loving skinny jeans… Old Navy Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans? Yes please, in multiples… They’re nearly all I wear in the winter cause I love my knee high boots.  However, they do look better with a looser and longer top- I don’t do them with tight little short t-shirts.  I can’t get behind the color jeans thing though. I almost bought a gray pair the other week, but just couldn’t quite bring myself to do it.

All the sheer panels in everything are killing me.  I pick up a top and go “ooh pretty” only to find the back is like, lace. I like lace, but gah, line it with real fabric! I don’t have the energy to pick out two tops in the morning!

I don’t get the one nail different color thing. I’ve seen it done, and it’s cute, but I feel like it’s kinda distracting or something.  I dunno.  It looks good on other people, I guess.

And yeah, the leggings thing… They’re not pants. With a tunic length shirt, they’re fine as long as you can’t see through them.  If you put them on and they’re at all sheer, they are not leggings, they are tights, and they need to be worn with a dress.  And I do think yoga pants are appropriate for public, non-gym consumption in some circumstances. I’ll wear them a lot to like, hang out at someone’s house at night or go to breakfast.  And I do wear them to yoga, and I don’t mind running errands in them after.  I don’t mind seeing girls out in public in them. I do mind seeing women use them in place of like, black trousers for work. Yoga pants are sweats, they are casual, in no way shape or form are they ever business casual.

The “nerd” trend. Even worse, nerd glasses! The worst part about this trend, sometimes the glasses DON’T HAVE FRAMES! No, I am not kidding. As a high school teacher, I am confronted by the utterly ridiculous daily. It’s even worse when adults do it. Renders me speechless every time. However, I adore jeggings, I have been wearing different color polish on two nails for about four years now, and I didn’t realize jean shirts are trendy. I am a blue jean whore and I always will be. It never goes out of style. Lastly, my uggs. I am in a severe love affair with my uggs. They are the best thing that have ever happened to my feet. I have several pairs, and the only thing that can make them better is if the dressy uggs were just as comfy as the originals, so that I can wear them always with all of my dresses and every other piece of my wardrobe. It is like a cloud for your feet, yes they are. Thank you Australia!

@HisMoon:  Eeh this makes me a little peeved. This isn’t a ‘fad’. Men being interested in fashion is just as legitimate as women being interested in it.

@Regina Phalange:  I’ve made several of these rings! I think they’re going to be really trendy in the coming seasons. I think they’re really fun to wear.

I attend a fashion school, and I have to say, I’ve seen almost every trend listed worn by my peers who, somehow, absolutely rock it.

That said, I’m with everyone who has complained about the lack of form in tops and dresses! I have an extremely hourglass figure… I can’t even dream of wearing most of what I see when I shop.

I think skinny jeans look good on a certain type of figure–which I do not have.  Why are all of the jeans out there skinny jeans or ones that are gonna flash my butt if I bend over?  And what’s with the stretchy fabric?  It’s not flattering on me at all, and gets holes so much faster than real denim.
