Yes, parking would be best addressed on a seperate insert card.

On an information card say:
Please park at X location and shuttle service will take you to the ceremony/reception.

I don’t think you need to explain in detail, simply stated is best.

Definitely include a separate card with parking/transportation info.  I went to a wedding  with a parking shuttle and they did the exact same thing.

Yes I’d have it on a separate printed card or slip of paper.

@Quicksand:  I think it would be fine.

Do you have a wedding website?  You could use that forum instead of an extra insert in your invitations but I really don’t see the extra instructions as tacky.

if you can afford it, can you cover the parking charge or work out a deal with the garage for a flat fee for you to pay for your guests.

honestly, i think it is tacky to go to a wedding have to pay for parking.

one of the last weddings i went to was in DC and we had no choice to valet,  the regular valet price was $25 but we were only charged $12 or something like that.

other than that, it has always been taken care of by the hosts.

Add a small insert card with wording close to this:

Please arrive at Big Parking Garage by X o’clock for a complimentary shuttle ride to the ceremony.

Garage fee $X. No onsite parking available at Wedding Venue.

Not tacky at all.

Where I live, practically ALL wedding invitations have a little extra card or slip of paper with directions/parking instructions/road construction/detour warnings.
