I think they can look lovely if done right.

I think the ones you picked out aren’t that great, though.

Just my opinion!

@SparkleBee11:  Most definitely not tacky!!!! Especially if it represents your personality!

Haha, I may be slightly biased though…I am obsessed with dragonflies as well. As in my car has a dragonfly acrylic on the back windshield, I have 3 dragonfly diamond necklaces/pieces of jewelry, I have dozens of dragonfly figurines (gifts from Darling Husband and others) and I am contemplating decorating one of the walls in our new home with large artsy dragonflies…

Considering something like this…

ETA: Our wedding programs had a small dragonfly image on them too ๐Ÿ™‚

I like the idea, a lot! My favourite thing about dragonflies has always been their beautiful colours, so I personally think it would look great if you could find some colourful ones.

@SparkleBee11:  I like the one you picked. The stylized metal version is definitely cuter than the more realistic version I was imagining

@SparkleBee11:  I do know what you mean. Hmmm I have a picture in my head but somehow I doubt its anything real!

I think it looks beautiful and not at all tacky. It definitely goes with your theme. I was once in a friend’s wedding and we each had a little fake butterfly in our bridesmaid bouquets I thought it was so pretty and such a nice touch.

@SparkleBee11:  Can I first say I love your theme?! I would have definitely done this theme if I could have a second wedding lol. I love your centerpieces and I love the dragonfly idea but I’m not fond of the dragonflies you picked. I think it would be better if they looked more realistic and had some color to them. Like this:

@SparkleBee11:  I like your idea. There’s nothing wrong with incorporating them. I think they totally fit your theme.

Not tacky!

And anyone who says something about your little hidden dragonflies has WAY too much time on their hands.

Have you looked on Etsy to see if they have any dragonfly jewelry parts (under “supplies” it’s cheaper there), faux dragonflies, or vintage dragonflies? I freaking love scoping Etsy out for deals. ๐Ÿ™‚

Can I just say one of the coolest things Fiance and I ever saw (we catch a lot of nature occurances together for some reason, we both love it) was a dragonfly which landed not even a foot away from us on our balcony railing… and then it pooped! We just looked at each other with wide eyes and laughed. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeay, we have the same theme ๐Ÿ˜€
I want my wedding to be classy and elegant though, so i’m trying to stay away from animals to keep it from looking like a kids party. However, the dragon fly you are looking out wouldn’t be tacky in my opinion. I think it is lovely. ๐Ÿ˜€
