I think that if done right it would look very nice. I would have to see the flower pages though to be sure.

I think it could look really nice. I tried to do something similar for my wedding by stringing petals and hanging them behind us, but it failed. The thread got way too tangled in transportation despite our best efforts and there was just no time/nerves to untangle it. Just something to take into consideration so you can plan better than I did.

I know that there are large flower paper punches that would make this a unique and interesting idea!  I think if you added a bright red or pink it would make this a more exciting look.  (I have a feeling that you’ll need that contrast to make it look finished.)

Maybe I wouldn’t do it on fishing line? Maybe ribbon? Then you can just hotglue all the flowers to the ribbon no problem. That might be your needed pop of color too!

If you’re real careful you could sew the fishing line through the flowers, and then at the base where the flower meets the line, just put a dab of hot glue, and that should keep it from slipping. You just have to be careful that it doesn’t melt the string off 😛

I’ve seen a few decorations on etsy made from folded paper, and they look really nice!

I think adding a little bit of colored ribbon to make it “pop” would be a good idea 🙂

I’m doing something kind of like that with the flowers on strings.  I’m hanging them off of a paper umbrella.

I have only made one string so far, and I ended up putting some hot glue under where I wanted the flower to sit.

@future Mrs.Merfeld: Could you be so kind as to post a photo with the fake flowers? It sounds really awesome!

That’s a super cute idea! Good luck! Can’t wait to see pictures!
