Oh lord, a taco bar is my ultimate dream. yes 100% yes
I love the idea of a taco bar. Just make sure you have plenty of stuff for the vegetarians! (Not just beans.) YUM!
We’re getting married in September of this year and we’re doing a taco bar for our reception. We’re handmaking some salsas to keep a nice variety and we’ve got ceviche as an appetizer. Everyone that we’ve mentioned it to so far is THRILLED, don’t hesitate to go for it if you guys love the idea!
We plan on doing wings, pizza, and a nacho bar because that js what we enjoy. I think it is more important to have food you both love at your wedding than trying to please everyone. It’s your day! Do what you want!
Who doesn’t love tacos? Me, my husband (although he might eat one, if desperate), my Mom, and I could name a few more, too. Both I and my children grew up in homes that never served tacos. At least if I know what would be served, I could eat something beforehand, or slip something into my purse to bring along. Or we could politely decline your invitation.
I just went to a wedding with the worst tasting vegetarian dish imagineable, so I’m a bit sensitive to not eating, at a reception. They wouldn’t even tell me what the choice was, when I called beforehand.
Most of the weddings i’ve been to the food was just…bland bland bland. and probably cost a lot too. yes, some people don’t like tacos but i’d bet even more don’t like bland chicken, bread, and staple salad over and over again. i’m likely doing something similar, mexican style buffet (my Fiance is mexican, so I don’t have to worry as much about complaints, but still). Also, having a mexican restaurant cater is wayyyy cheaper than the other options I’ve seen so far. Also, in terms of international food, I think Mexican is the most crowd pleasing.
Doesn’t everyone love tacos?
I would love to go to a wedding with a taco bar! Just make sure you have a variety of filling options to please everyone.
I LOVE TACOS! But I do think it may be wise to provide choices to others who might not like them.
