A while ago somebody had mentioned that they have their own taco seasoning recipe that isn’t high in sodium. FI and I love tacos but I am concerned about all the sodium in the packets from the store. Any suggestions?

taco seasoning is pretty easy to make. Not sure the one the other bee posted but you can make it without adding the salt.
equal parts chili poweder and onion powder (1 TB each)
1 tsp each
cumin, garlic, paprika (sweet or smoked), oregano
if you want it spicier add cayenne.

I make tacos that are very easy in the slow cooker. All you do is put in: chicken, 4 garlic cloves sliced, chili powder, and 1/2 cup (I always put a little more) of salsa. Cook on slow for 8 hours.
We had them tonight, very yummy!
