It depends what type of taffeta you are referring to, if it is silkor luxe taffeta than it doesnt crinkle. My dress was tafetta on the top and organza at the bottom and it looked great all night. Even after stuffing it in the dress bag and driving home it still looked great when I got back from honeymoon

Silk dupioni is a usually a more expensive fabric than taffeta and feels lovely too. I like both of them

Princess Diana’s dress was tafetta (I don’t know what kind) but her dress wrinkled terribly when she got out of the carriage. I’ve made my dress out of silk dupion and it’s currently screwed up on the floor!! but isn’t really wrinkled. Silk dupion has some texture to it too, which is nice ๐Ÿ™‚
