Any Bee’s getting married around Lake Tahoe, CA? Where are you getting married? What is the theme/decor you are doing? I just love the area our engagement photos are tomorrow in Truckee, CA starting at my fiance’s cabin and surrounding area then down by Donner Lake and downtown Truckee! We are getting married at The Hideout in Kirkwood, CA its about 20-30 minutes from Kirkwood Ski resort, but out in the middle of no where! It’s beautiful! We are doing a vintage country look for our wedding
I’d love to see pics of your Tahoe area venues and decor!
Also hoping we can all help each other find vendors or recommend any that we enjoy, since there aren’t many in my area at least! I’m still looking for catering and cake, hair, make up, officiant, and videography!

I’m getting married in Tahoe in August! The Hideout is beautiful! We considered it but ultimately decided it was too far for our guests since everyone will be flying into Reno.
We are getting married at the Mitchell’s Mountain Meadows (private “estate”about 30 minutes north of Truckee- mostly just open land) and having our welcome dinner at Common’s Beach in Tahoe City.
We don’t really have a theme, just natural beautiful I guess. We just want people to enjoy the scenery and have fun.
Here are our vendors:
Corey Fox for Photography
House of Blackbird (Andrea Hansen) for Hair and Make-Up
Mountain Magic Catering for both welcome BBQ dinner and reception
Forget Me Knot Events for Wedding Planning/DOC
Tahoe Rustic Rentals for decorations and games (wood slices, cornhole, lots of vintage rentals!)
Camelot Rentals for chairs, tables, tents
Northstar for Transportation (ski buses as shuttles for guests)
We are doing Nothing Bundt Cakes in Reno for our desserts, but I’ve heard really good things about Sugar Pine Cakery in Tahoe City and Flour Girl in South Lake.
Hope this helps any other Tahoe brides!

We considered Mitchell’s Mountain Meadows too as my fiance’s family cabin is in Truckee and we are really familiar with that area! I will definitely look into some of those vendors for my wedding as well! I am in contact wiht Flour girl for the cake. Your wedding sounds like it will be awesome! 🙂
