Seriously the best day of my life, and I am sure if Mr. Jigga were here writing this with me he would agree 🙂 I knew he would propose sooner or later but he kept it super top secret! So here is the story…….
I was in a funk that day and I had been texting him about how bad I was feeling (he is such a good listener…… sometimes) I hadn’t really heard from him that much that day and I just figured he was busy. Then that’s when it happened… Mr. Jigga texted me saying ” I know you are having a rough day is there anything I can do to make it better?” I responded with something along the lines of “cuddle, go to the gym….. You can ask me to marry you lol!” There was a long space of no texting, which of course prompted an attitude on my part. Luckily it didn’t have to hold my stank face too long because he called me and said….. hey look out of your window, I just left the dealership and I got a new car” My office is all windows along the wall so I found the nearest window. When I looked out all I saw was him holding the biggest sign I think I have ever seen a human hold with about 20 balloons attached to it. I immediately hung up and flew to the nearest exit! I went outside to the bridge rail that is outside my job and Mr. Jigga was standing across the street in front of the state capitol with a big flip chart and easel. each piece of the paper spelled out the story of our love. It was absolutely beautiful and I cried in the most dramatic fashion my emotions could muster up. After I read the flip chart I ran over the bridge to him and he took my hands and said the sweetest things to me (or at least I am assuming it was sweet because I blacked out and don’t remember anything he said). he them popped one of the balloons and a big ring hit the ground…. it was a fake ring that lit up and he jokingly gave that to me trying to make me think it is all he could afford I ‘miraculously’ stopped crying and laughed because I know he knows me better than that. Mr. Jigga got down on his knee and said “Jigga will you marry me.” I of course I said yes and we ran into the sunset together…. haha no but seriously I ran into work and grabbed all my stuff and said… “I gotta go” lol my supervisor was kind enough to relieve me and we lived happily ever after!
I am please by my man. He did an amazing job and respected me enough to ask my brothers, my nieces, my mother, father and my uncle for permission before he proposed.
here is the text exchange:
