That is a great proposal story!  Your ring is lovely!  Did you pick out the ring or did your FI?  I see that it is a marquise (which you don’t see much) and is such a lovely choice.  Most women I know who have marquise diamond asked specifically for that shape of diamond.  It is stunning.
