Bees, what a whirlwind of a weekend it has been. We went to Pittsburgh to visit my family for the weekend (and so he could talk to my dad). I never would have thought he would propose while we were out there!
So, here’s the story: There is currently a giant rubber duck floating in the Allegheny River for Pittsburgh’s Festival of Firsts. This rubber duck has been all over the world, but this is the first time it has made an appearance in North America. Being the giant 2 year old I am, I asked my mom if she would take us to see it on Saturday afternoon because I needed to be home in time to watch the Pens game.
(Us with the giant rubber duck.)
This duck is in the area of Pittsburgh known as the Point so we were getting some pictures with the giant fountain behind us. Then it happened:
And here’s my beauty (please ignore how much I need a manicure)
I don’t know specs, just that she is 3/4 of a carat and perfect. I cannot stop looking at my finger and/or smiling. It really doesn’t even feel real. We haven’t set a date yet, but we are thinking some time during the Fall of 2015.

Something about the photo with him on his knee and the kid swinging his arms in the background just made me feel so delightful!! You should see if you can photo shop orange shirt man out of it, it would be really charmin!!!
Sounds like a beautiful day! That duck is amazing. Think they could send it to Canada?!

I LOVE the duck 🙂 I was up on Mt. Washington on Friday and it just looked so cute bobbing along there at the Point. It’s just so random and out there, that it makes total sense.

@lalalyanne: Thank you! I might have to see if I can get the orange man photoshopped out of there.
@BlondeBee: I wish they could keep the duck there forever. It just feels right. He really wanted to propose at the top of the incline, but my dad’s back was bothering him and he didn’t want to go up there.
