@saramabob:  I’m so, so sorry to hear of your miscarriage.

To answer your question, every David’s Bridal will have their own seamstresses.  Which location would you be purchasing from?  Do they have reviews on http://www.yelp.com?

I do know this, it seems that David’s Bridal alterations run kinda high compared to a local seamstress/tailor.  So if you can find someone good, who is experienced with wedding dresses, it would be a good idea to at least get a 2nd quote from them for comparison.

So sorry to hear that…

I have heard that it is possible to take them in as far as three sizes (is what they told me at David’s Bridal) so definitely go talk with them, and/or an independent seamstress.  I bet it’s doable though.

The girls at davids kept telling me that I was a size 8 and I’m like no this is the 8th store I’ve come too and everyother store I have been in 2’s and 4’s so the smallest they had for me to try on was a  6 and then it was still big they said If I went smaller my bust wouldn’t fit and I might need a corset back so supid me listend to them instead of my instincts- and when I went in for my first fitting she had to take it in 4 almost 5 inches- she said it was 2 sizes- so they should be able to take it in or figure out how to do it- it might just cost a little bit more for you.

Do you have the option of switchin dressses or no cause it was on sale?

Either way it will all work out in the end!

I am sorry about our miscarriage as well and send you a bottole of baby dust so that when the time is right for you again you can sprinkle it all over and bask in baby joy and love!
