Taking new boyfriend to close friend's wedding

I agree that’s a big ask. I’m sure you’re excited to go since it’s YOUR friends wedding, but think about if this is something he would really want to do. Even just asking could make things weird between you two if he declines.

aquamarine22 :  maybe it’s a big ask but there’s no harm in asking anyway. I’ll reiterate that the man I married came to my best friend’s wedding about 2 months after we met. He also met both my family and hers after flying US coast to coast.  A guy willing to ride to the occasion like that is a guy worth knowing (not to say he isn’t if he’s not ready yet!). Might as well see.

A destination wedding is entirely another animal. If you are inviting him to join you are you covering the expenses (flights and hotel) for both of you?

aquamarine22 :  Yayyy have fun. A friend of mine asked to take someone they were seeing last minute to our wedding and they got married later!
