Its been talked about before – we debated just gettinga videographer and editing the shots out of it but luckly got to budget all of it- however I was curious and our photogrpaher missed… a couple things so I here are some examples of what I was able to get out just on my phone- screen shots- I bet if I did it with a better program I could get some great shots.
anyway wanted to share for anyone who is wondering

Are you trying to print those images out? Taking a digital file and trying to print them out often results in really low-resolution images.

MissHobbit is correct if you were going to try to print these out. You’ll end up with poor photos and likely they’ll be pixelated in spots.
Video is very low resolution as a general sense, that’s why HD cameras are worth a small fortune.
They’re neat pictures, though. I just wouldn’t want you to be disappointed if you printed them out and saw that they weren’t very good quality wise.

Unless you’re shooting at a very high shutter speed (which would be difficult during low-light reception events), taking a still image from a video is almost always going to result in some bluriness. It’s what makes the video imagery feel fluid and not strobe-y. I’m a videographer, and even I wouldn’t recommend just hiring a videographer if you want great pictures.
