Does anyone has any advice on taking pictures of rings, especially alexandrite? I want to show its beautiful green color, but it always comes out almost clear or really light purple/blue. Also, if you have a ring with alexandrite that you would like to show off, that is welcome too!

@FutureBaker: I have a natural alexandrite ring and I LOVE IT.
I noticed no one gave you any advice. I’m not perfect, but I’ll try my best.
For the green I went outside on a sunny day AND I had a little white LED flashlight (like a keychain) on it. I had my digital camera set to “White balance – fluorescent.”
For the purple I held my hand directly under an incandescent bedside lamp. I had my camera set to “white balance – tungsten.”
Oh and I had it set to “macro.”
