Ok so I got stung by a bee today and found a creepy crawler in my shower. I am taking this as a sign that I don’t need to wait til next May to get married (kidding…kinda). I wanted to wait because the pretty flowers and then I’ll get to walk in beautiful, summer weather. However, I just don’t think it’s worth waiting 1 year and two months. What should I do? The same venue but inside in maybe December? Please keep in mind that the fiance and I will be 3 hours apart for 1 year and will not get to see each other but every 2 weeks. Kinda seems lame to wait cuz of pretty flowers.
If I’ve already paid a deposit is there anything I can do? Will I have to repay the deposit even if the date is open??

By The Way This is my venue’s grand staircase. I love it but it reminds me so much of christmas time. I can imagine wrapping garlands and lights around it. UGHHH

I’m having a December wedding!! We were going to get married this May but things happened and I never lived may so we changed to December and I couldn’t be happier. People are so jolly during Christmas time. Your venue looks perfect for a december wedding!

As long as you have an indoors space (and it looks like you do) then there’s nothing wrong with a winter wedding! I also wanted to get married in May, but we got impatient and didn’t want to wait any longer 🙂 So I know exactly what you mean.
But I’m confused, even if you get married in December do you still have to live apart for a year or more? My advice would be to wait to get married until you can live togeter like a married couple. Or will getting married in December allow you to live together sooner? If so, there’s even more reason to go for a winter wedding!
Also, white dresses look gorgeous with snow in the background! Check out my recap if you’d like to see 🙂
