@renwoman:  I took the week before the wedding to get ready and the week after for the honeymoon. My job is extremely flexible, I probably mentioned it to my boss about a month before. Other coworkers took 2-3 weeks depending on the length of the honeymoons.

I took off the day before my wedding (Friday) and the two weeks following that.  There was a stat holiday in there, so it amounted to 10 days off, and I used banked overtime for half of it.

The summer before my wedding I specifically didn’t take any holidays, and from about June told my boss and coworkers I would be taking 2 weeks after my wedding instead.  Everyone was fine with it – total non-issue.

I took 2.5 weeks off for wedding/honeymoon. I think I requested it about 2-3 months in advance. I was taking a large chunk of time off (at least for my company) and I wanted my supervisors to approve the time and have plenty of time to figure how they were going to deal with me being away for that long. 😀

@renwoman:  I can more or less manage my own schedule. I will likely take from Wednesday to Friday before the wedding off (the ceremony is Saturday). Then I will take a week off for the honeymoon. I can’t imagine needing any additional time.

@renwoman:  I’m taking 2-3 weeks and they’ve known since I got engaged.  My bosses are aware that Mr. S is stationed in Missouri so as soon as they noticed the ering, they asked what my plans were.  Luckily I think I’m getting the opportunity to try working remotely so I will take the week prior off and then have time to deal with name change/military ID and whatnot in WA prior to starting our 3 day drive with all my stuff.  That allows for a bit of time to get settled in Missouri before starting work again.  I am only taking 2 PTO days this year leading up to it so I should be pretty well covered and not end up with any unpaid days since I carried some PTO over from last year.

I took 2.5 weeks off. It was so much cause we had an at home wedding then a destination wedding and we were gone for 10 days at the destination. I requested the 2 weeks a few months before the wedding and the extra days I decided a few weeks before my wedding because I had so much left to do and no time and my boss approved he time off

I took the week off before our wedding (technically was a 4 day week anyway due to a holiday) and a week off for our honey moon. So 9 days total off for PTO

They’ve known for a few months that I’m taking off next Wednesday-Friday (holy bajeezus it’s close). Then last month I told them which week I’d be taking off for my honeymoon. We procrastinated on the honeymoon thing but they still got over a months notice.

@MrsPanda99:  +1 , I’m taking the exact same amount of time off except technically I get the following Monday off too because it’s a holiday!

I have not officially asked of for it yet but it’s on our shared calendar as I wanted to make sure my dates were final. Everyone I work with knows when my wedding is and that I am planning to take off then. We usually put in for time off like that 2 months in advanced. At first I was debating the Wednesday off but I need my highlights touched up and a few more added right before the wedding and the Wednesday was the only day I could get an appointment with my stylist.

@renwoman:  i took 1.5 weeks off, i make the works schedule for my store, so i took off what i was able too with vacation days and just needed to make sure my position was covered while i was gone.  I didnt need to ask permission, just needed to make sure everything would run fine while i was gone.

I’m taking a 3 weeks, but, it’s not so much “taking off”, as it is just rearranging work, I work from home from Mid-Oct to the end of Feb. We are having a 2 week honeymoon, and i’m taking a week off prior to the wedding to finish up last minute things.

Fi is taking 2 1/2 weeks off for the wedding, starting the day of the wedding.

Fiance are planning on taking a ten day honeymoon so I will most likely take a little more tha. Two full weeks off of work. I have mentioned it but I haven’t formally requested it off. My boss is very accommodating so it won’t be a problem.

We’re splitting our wedding and our honeymoon, but they’ll fall within the same calendar year, so I’m thinking by the end of it I will have taken around 3 weeks’ vacation for it all. Luckily I get a loot of vacation at my job, so.

I’m taking the Friday before and the Monday after the wedding off. We aren’t taking our honeymoon until November or December, and we will schedule it over Thanksgiving or Christmas to help boost our vacation time. Overall, I will probably take 3 weeks.
