I have an antique engagement ring, its from 1890, and is rose gold. I love it, most of my jewellery is rose gold. Part of me is disappointed now it’s more popular, and more people have it, but also now it’s easier for me to buy and I love the ring porn! I’d say try some on to make sure it works with your skin tone, but that whether or not it is trendy shouldn’t stop you if you love it! Also excuse the awful lighting in the photo.

I love yellow gold if the setting is understated and slim. For chunkier jewelry (which I’m not a huge fan of anyway), I like white metals.

I could see a beautiful rose gold setting on someone with a darker olive or brown complexion, but on me (medium-light olive) it wouldn’t look right. I would be concerned about trendiness as this si a piece of jewelry one would wear in theory her entire life.

@hidingpearl:  I have Rose Gold RHRs and two Rose Gold watches. My E-Ring that will soon be on my finger is also Rose Gold. I think Rose Gold only looks good on olive or darker skin tones. On fair skin, it just looks… bad (to me) for lack of a better word.

@hidingpearl: Well I love rose gold. I’m a pink girl and so it’s not a trend for me. I’m not going to tal kyou into it because if it’s truly not you then it doesn’t matter get what you truly want. I knew the fact that I wouldn’t have to redip it was another bonus for me tho but shouldn’t be the only reason to get that type metal. I’m dark skin so it looks really nice on my skin and I know with some fairer skin tones it may not try a few out and see if it’s truly worth it.

@Scintillante:  Yep, it’s contoured. We had to get it custom made to fit around the awkward Engagement Ring shape. Laughing

@hidingpearl:  I have a rose and white gold engagement ring, and a rose gold wedding band.  I love them!  The rose gold is so warm and beautiful.  I am so happy I went with both colors.  My husband also has both colors on his band.

I think rose gold is absolutely beautiful, but I do think it’s going to go back out of style. I would keep to the classics on the ring you wear forever, why not buy a rose gold ring for your right hand? ๐Ÿ™‚

I love my rose gold! I had absolutely no doubt in my mind that I would be wearing rose gold, though–it is just my favorite. Here’s a picture of my set with a spacer that I ended up not using, lol. I need to upload a new pic without the spacer! I’ll show you an up-close and a little further away. I do think the rose gold is pretty subtle, but I’ve been surprised by how many people look at my rings and go, “Oh, is that rose gold?!”

@LittleAnn:  It’s from a local jeweler but it’s a Gabriel & Co. ring so anywhere that carries the line have it or be able to order it
