I love going back and reading this thread π I still absolutely love rose gold! My bf wasn’t sold on it initially, well he pretty much shut it down, but I tried on a $10 rose gold colored ring the other day and showed him and he was surprised how much it suited me! I love it! I think I would be leaning towards the 18kt hues, but I haven’t seen any rose gold jewellery in person yet.

I adore rose gold but it just doesn’t look right with my skin tone (especially on my hands for whatever reason), I still have tons of rose gold jewelry and wear necklaces/watches/etc whenever I want, but my engagement ring/wedding set is platinum. I have extremely “cool” skin and the pink jewelry on my hands makes my hands look red (although rubies and yellow gold don’t as much, it must just be a “pink” thing).

In my opininon, rose gold really only looks good on fairer skin tones. I always think of light red hair when I see rose gold, and light red hair doesn’t occur naturally usually on dark skin tones. I just think it looks beautiful on fair skin tones, though. Just my opinion! Just like I think yellow gold works best with dark skin tones. Not being racist, just being honest what I think looks best.

I have a platinum engagment ring and wedding band but I also love rose gold and now I have a rose gold necklace and a 2 toned white and rose gold watch! I get tons of compliments on my rose gold jewellery and I have fair skin and red hair and people say it compliments my red hair! LOL

My ring is white gold with rose gold on the inside, and I feel like it’s the best of both worlds! Mixing is always an option if you decide to get yours custom made! π

I prefer yellow gold and platinum as they are more classic metals. I’m not a fan of white gold due to the redipping, and I feel like rose gold is more of a ‘trend’ at the moment, well it is in Australia anyways. The patina can always be buffed out but yellow gold doesn’t need much maintenance at all.

Rose gold is my favorite! I have a peach champagne sapphire and the combination of the two is pure perfection. So soft and romantic and give a very vintage feel to the ring. LOVE!

I was on the rose gold fence too so I just did a touch of rose gold with mostly white.
