I think you could do either ivory or blush! Both look really pretty with your skintone. Some dresses can look “dirty” with color underlay, but it usually looks vintage and romantic to me. I too wanted a colored underlay, but will likely end up with an ivory dress haha. Have you seen this dress with a blush underlay? is that even an option?

I agree that the ivroy dress looks amazing on you. But if you want color, can you go try one on from that brand in the color they would offer? Even if it is not your exact dress. I will say that the one you posted a picture of is not a flattering color on you. It does look dirty and it washes you out really bad.

I also went through a phase where I was thinking that maybe I should have gotten a color underlay instead of white on white, but in the end, when it came in I absolutely loved my dress! And you could totally see the overlay!

I absolutely love the dress you chose bee. I think the ivory underlay looks more classic and timeless. And I will admit that I have seen brides in real life with blush/champagne underlining and I thought it looked dingy and didn’t really match their skin tone.

Wow, I love the dress you chose!  I feel like the lace pops, and the tulle is so romantic and dreamy.  If you feel like it isn’t the dress you want on your wedding day, then maybe you should cancel it.  Planning a wedding is supposed to be fun.  If something isn’t feeling right, ask yourself if it is worth it to be upset, and how can you change the situation so you’re not upset.  Plus, if you cancel the dress, you can always re-order it when you feel ready to order it.  I wouldn’t worry about disappointing others– it is only a dress.  Hopefully, they’re supportive of whatever decision makes you happiest!

Your dress is stunning! It is very romantic and delicate with the lace details on your skirt!

But if you’re really hesitant, maybe call them to hold the order back and try some more dresses with blush underneath to get it out of your system hahaha. And then you still can go back and order the same dress, but being 100% sure about it 😉

Wanted to add something, but I’m not able to edit. I really love how delicate it looks. I’m all about the lace not popping at your eyes, but being subtle and soo romantic.

moissamight :  I think the ivory looks beautiful and the layers create enough shadow to show the lace details. I think it’s a great dress.

I think your dress is beautiful. The lace seems to pop from under the tulle, which isn’t something I have seen often.

Could you do a peep of color somewhere else? Maybe in your hair, shoes, veil, etc?

I totally understand where you are coming from. Before I bought my dress, I had a different visison in my mind, I was already set on a dress with v-neck. Now I bought a dress thats almost sleeveless(it does have tull sleeves) and afterwards I questioned my decision. However, at every fitting I was still very happy with my dress 🙂 and couldnt imagine another one..

Your dress is stunning and the ivory looks amazing with your skin tone! The champagne dress you posted IMO is not nearly as flattering color-wise. You had the moment with your family and you look amazing in the dress- time to stop looking and be glad to be done!

It’s completely natural to second guess yourself right after you buy the dress – I think mostly because the search is so overwhelming and such a personal journey. I had a clear vision of what I wanted, went to 6 shops before I found it, and even THEN I thought “omg…what did I just do!!??” the next day. But I realized this: If I said yes to it, and went through the whole process of buying it (figuring out size, delivery schedule, making deposit, etc.) there were many reasons for that.

This dress looks stunning on you in the ivory, and another great advantage is that if you have bridesmaids, coordinating their dresses will be much easier because anything can match! I made my life really complicated for 4 months trying to figure out how the hell to coordinate my girls with my silver and gold dress. Finally figured it out but goooood lord, you couldn’t pay me to relive that haha. You also wil have everything to choose from for accessories and shoes!

Best wishes to you Bee and trust the dress! It’s fabulous.
