So, I am 6-1/2 weeks preggo. I haven’t had too many symptoms (mostly thirst, gas and amazing sense of smell) and am feeling pretty good. But I have cramps all the time. Like I have had my period for the last 2 weeks. On a scale of 1-10, I would say they are a 3-4 and they come and go. (no spotting) But it freaks me out with all of the MC talk in the first trimester. Anyone else feeling this?

I had pretty frequent cramps until week 6. They subsided a little and now (7.5 wks) I get them only every few days. Sunday, I had them all day. It’s become more of a pulling sensation than actual cramps, so not quite the same as period cramps. It’s a little freaky at times (esp. since I have had a miscarriage) but I think this is a REALLY common early pregnancy symptom!

I think Im about 7 weeks (my first dr’s appointment isnt until Friday) and I have cramping all the time. Sometimes its a 1-2 (like it’s just there but I cant ignore it) and sometimes its a 4-5 (like I wish I could pop a pill). I am super anxious about MC too. I just keep trying to give my body what it wants (water, rest, crackers) and hope that will be enough.

@shhh bee: I experienced mild cramping on and off shortly after getting my + test. I also experienced some cramping that may have been related to not being “regular”…

I had them regularly through my 8th week. They were pretty constant and sometimes would get pretty painful. They mostly stopped after that, but I still get little pulls here and there in my 12th week.

I had them too for a few weeks after I got my BFP. It felt like my period was going to come any second–I remember going to the last Harry Potter movie and freaking out because I was having cramps the whole time.
My doctor always told me unless they were extreme or accompanied by spotting that they were normal, and to try not to worry. Easier said than done, I was still relieved when they went away.

In week 5-7 I also had lots cramps, To me they felt a bit stronger than just mild but everything was fine and my OB said it was due to the uterus stretching. Its stopped now though.

You bees are the best. Thanks for making me feel better! I am just so nervous that something is going to go wrong, or that I am doing somethign that is not safe. I put spanx on this morning under my dress, and was nervous I was going to hurt the baby in someway. Then my sister told me I was being ridiculous, that the baby is a size of a lentil and that spanx was not going to make me have an MC. What do i know?? Turns out nothing. 🙂
