I have had a *lot* of moissanite projects over the years and I have 1 or 2 favorite sellers here and there. But trap’s are always the hardest to get right it seems. Right now I’m looking at having an asscher made with traps, but im leary.
So-I’m looking specifically for ladies that have had moissanite 3 stone rings with traps made for themselves within the last year? Just r&d at this point but the project is coming [I will not stop this moving train lol].

Leery because they don’t look good? Or the proportions are off?
One of my dream rings is an emerald cut with side traps, but the only moissanite traps I’ve seen that look proportional to the center stone is from The True Gem Co, IMO. Most of the time they look too short (vertically) and long (horizontally).

yes exactly, they were so disproportionate to the ring, but by the time you pay for it, and you design it and you get it, if it’s slightly off it wasn’t worth sending it back. It’s something I would see that everyone else probably wouldn’t by looking at the ring. I wish I had a picture, but the angles were completely off even though they weighed the same.

Hi, I got my 3-stone made in January by E/W Gem Co. They were not exactly helpful in suggesting side stone carat weight for what I was invisioning, so what I did to figure out stone sizes/proportions was draw out the center/side stones on paper and then cut it out and use double sided tape to stick it on my finger. Then I gave them the exact mm measurements for the stones. It turned out exactly how I wanted 😊 12×8 5.3ct emerald cut center with 5x3x2.5mm side traps (approx .5ct each) my ring size is 3.
