We bought an LG front loader washer/dryer from either Lowe’s or Menards or Home Depot.  I can’t remember lol its been 2 years since we bought them.  I love them and unfortunately the people buying our house want them otherwise we were going to take them and switch them out for the washer and dryer in our new house.

Our fridge is LG and we bought it at Sears.  I love it, we purchased it last year and its my baby.  Its HUGE and has tons of compartments in both the fridge area and freezer.  It also has the ice and water dispenser.  Unfortunately that’s staying in our house too Cry.  However, I’m excited to go fridge shopping again lol.  Yes I’m weird but I love to look at refrigerators.

Altogether for these 3 items we spent about $4,000.

We just bout a LG washer last night. Can’t make my opinion just yet… We bought it at lowes. Retailed in the 700’s, we did a price match to Home depot which was on sale for like 100 less, so Lowes matched that price and then took an additional 10% of because they had to price match. Final price was in the 500’s. I made my husband buy yesterday when I was at work, so I can’t remember the EXACT numbers LOL!

Lowes also gave us a 50$ gift card b/c we spent over a certain amount of money

@Luckygir15:  I didn’t know they would do that! I wonder if they would do that plus give us our military discount on top of it all…hmmmm 😛

Hello – We bought a house and have been remodeling for the past year.  We went with all stainless steel appliances – frigidaire gallery collection.  PLEASE STAY AWAY from this particular brand.  I have already exchanged my stove to samsung, and we’re also exchanging our fridge and dishwasher to Samsung to match the stove.  Overall, frigidaire products are NOT GOOD! And I got my front loader washer and dryer for christmas…I was SO EXCITED! and let me tell you..I do 2 loads of laundry at once, and even put 18 towels in at once. It is the Graphite Steel LG 4.1CubicF Front loader.  LOVE IT Congrats on the twins…and new appliance purchase. there is nothing like new appliances 🙂

@BluePeaches:  That would be cool! We also thought about using one of the “moving coupons” that you get for lowes that gives you 10% off…we request these at the post office when we know were going to be spending a boatload at hd or lowes….ps. HD also accepts the lowes 10% off coupon! And thats for the entire purchase.

@Luckygir15:  I forgot about those coupons! I will have to remember to save them when we move this time since we are actually buying instead of renting and they will come in handy.

@BluePeaches:  Hi! I work part time at Lowes. They will only honor one type of discount at a time. For example, if you use your military, then they won’t take the extra 10% off for the price match. If you use the moving coupon, then they won’t take off the military, etc.

@BluePeaches:  You can pick up the moving packet with all the coupons at the post office….We just say we’re moving (even though we arn’t) Make sure they give you the packet!!

I learned this from a professor a few years ago and have picked up at least a handful.

We also (if we plan ahead) buy gift cards to HD or Lowes first online at the discount giftcard places where people sell gift cards they dont want… We then up saving an additional 5-15% depending on the store.

I’m not a coupon person, but when it comes to BIG purchases that make me want to throw up like appliances etc, saving is the way to go to make me feel a little better about it!

So far I’m like LG as for brands

@Miss Leopard:  Okay, good to know! I will just have to keep my eye out for price matches, since I prefer lowes over a lot of other places. Thank you!
