we are pretty much the exact same height…. im about 5’9 1/2 and he is about 5’9. …and to be honest he is totally comfortable with me wearing heels as high as I want…its me that has a problem with it…even though more recently he has been encouraging  me so much that I have started to wear heels more πŸ™‚ for the wedding I think I am going to wear a small heel…but the shoes he will wear add a little bit of height also so we will probably be the same height!

I’m not tall (about 5’5) but my Fiance is only 5’3 (what can I say; I like them short πŸ™‚

Honestly, the only time I even noticed the difference was on our first date, but the more I got to like him, I just stopped noticing entirely. I have had foot issues my whole life, so I’ve never worn heels–so it’s not even an issue! If we have kids, they will probably be teeny tiny, but I guess we’ll just have to teach them to have strong characters and great personalities to make up for it.

The photographer who did our engagement photos did a FANTASTIC job at catching us in poses that didn’t emphasise the height difference. (They’re on a different computer right now; otherwise I’d post some.)

I am a couple inches taller than Fiance.  I don’t care, and he loves it when I wear heels.

FI’s about two inches shorter than me. I have a friend who’s the same height as he is, and I used to make fun of her (lovingly, not maliciously!) for being so short. Oops.

I actually kind of love it because if we’re sitting next to each other, I can really easily lean my head onto his shoulder. :0).

I used to wear heels anyway, but it just makes the height difference too awkward. That’s okay, though, flats are more comfortable anyway.

We are almost the same height. I am a little taller and in heels I am like a giant!

I am not wearing heels in this pictures just flats.

My Fiance is 6′ when he stands up straight. I am 5’10. He usually slouches so I always feel taller than him.

I have stopped wearing heels a lot but I still feel taller than him because of his bad posture! Oh well…I poke him in the tummy and he stands up straight πŸ™‚

I’m 5’10’ and my Fiance is 6 feet, so he’s just a bit taller but when I wear heels I feel like a giant.  The last two months or so, he’s been encouraging me to stand up straighter and wear heels if I want to… even 4 inchers!  He says that being with a tall woman is glamorous for HIM, because it shows the rest of the world not only my confidence but also reflects well on him for being able to snag such a gorgeous, self-assured woman.  So am I wearing heels at the wedding?  OH yeah baby!!

Also, my mom is 6′ and my dad is only 5’9″… and he felt exactly the same way about her height when they got married 20 years ago.  πŸ™‚

my grandmother was considerably taller than my grandfather and i’ve been told that for a few of their wedding photos, my grandma is actually standing in a hole in the ground to diminish some of the size difference!

I am also 6 feet tall and my Fiance is 5’7″! I don’t wear heels when we go out, but that has to do with the knee surgery I had a couple of years ago. The heels really bother my knee now. I know he doesn’t mind me being taller. I think he likes it. Sometimes I feel like a giant, but he is very good about making me feel comfortable about it. For the wedding though, I made the decision to wear ‘ballet’ slippers. mainly for comfort, but also to minimize the height difference. He wants to wear the 2 inch sole ‘creeper’ style shoes. I think that has mostly to do with he just wants a pair of those shoes!

Us at Yosemite this summer.

My fiance and I are basically the exact same height. If anything, he just a *hair* shorter than me. It doesn’t bother him at all. Not even a little. And he loves high heels. I do not and never have. So I wear my flats most of the time and honestly, I usually forget that’s he’s below average height for a guy. He is so wonderful in so many ways that it’s just irrelevant now. And I have pretty sparkly little gold flats to wear on my wedding day.

Fi has about an inch on me. i have always hated wearing heels and always lived in flats, long before we met. i always say he is my perfect excuse to never put on heels πŸ™‚
