I don’t have a photo with me, but I’m also fairly tall (around 5’8) and I got pretty big haha… I didn’t show for quite awhile though, I just looked really puffy haha

Mid-late pregnancy I was very obviously pregnant. I also did start retaining water towards the end too, so it wasn’t all in my tummy area, I’m now 9 months pp and still have around 10 lbs to lose, all in all I gained around 50 lbs

FX you get your BFP soon!

Commenting to follow. I am also tall, 05’11”, but not pregnant yet, and I wonder about the same thing.

I think it also depends on your torso length and other factors. Short women with long torsos may carry small while tall women whose height is all legs may be large. There is some measurement from your hip bone to bottom rib that help confirm torso length, but just how your insides are arranged matters too 🙂

I am not tall but I can tell you that there’s no way to know how you will look until you are pregnant. I’m 5’4″ and thin and everyone told me I would show early (my mom did and she is 5’1″ and thin), and here I am 21 weeks and nobody can tell I’m pregnant. “In general” tall people don’t show as much, but “in general” thin people show more and that isn’t true for me, so who knows!!

I’m about 6′ and I also have a long torso.  I mean, I definitely looked pregnant by the end but I don’t feel I ever got as big as some shorter people.  And I’ve gained a decent amount both times (~40-45 lbs).  So I’ve always been able to touch my toes and pick things up off the ground without much effort, no rib kicks, pretty comfortable both times (went to 41 weeks with #1), and also no stretch marks.  My first pregnancy I didn’t measure behind (varied from 1 week behind to 1 week ahead) but this one I’ve measured anywhere from 1-5 weeks behind as far as fundal height (which isn’t an exact science anyway).  My OB thinks it is a combo of height/torso plus baby’s position because on my ultrasounds baby was 50-75%.  I didn’t really look pregnant until 21-25 weeks with #1, but definitely earlier with #2.  My height and torso have definitely been an advantage IMO, plus being 6′ I can carry 45lbs easier than someone short.  I am average weight, ~160lbs prepregnancy (which is about BMI 21-22).

Prettysmile40 :  A friend of mine who is 5’11” didn’t really look pregnant until she was closer to 6 months everything could just be mistaken as pudge.

I’m 5’10 and I was all belly. I lost weight but my bump was huge.

I have the worlds longest torso, so I guess I won’t show that much! I’d rather exchange those 9 months of “not as big” for longer legs, though 😉

I am tall (5’10).  The first picture is 20 weeks. The second is 25 weeks.  I guess I’m a little bigger than I thought I would be.  I already gained 25lbs.  I feel like my belly is going to be huge by the end haha. I do think being tall has helped make it easier carry.  It has been surprisingly easier than I thought to find long enough maternity jeans and pants. Any of you mamas think being tall helped you with childbirth?  I hope so! 🙂
