I answered in your other post, but here’s a pic that shows how they use the moss to cover the top of the container.

You can keep the container lower of you use really tall branches to get the look you are after.

Well, if you’re set on using vases, you could line them with something pretty before you add in the support materials. Scrapbooking paper, ribbon, tissue…anything that can form/mold to the inside of the vase before you add everything else in.

Or you could do cylindrical containers covered in birchbark. Those always look stunning.

@MGorsh: What about putting them in a large vase with rock or something heavy? That way the dont tip over
