I like A the best out of all of those. I feel like the bodice on B is straight out of Swan Lake and C is just mehh.

these are gorgeous!!! i have a simliar frame to you and i went with an a-line and open back… ball gowns aren’t my style and the corseted tops seemed unnecessarily uncomfortable.  I found the sample sizes HUGE and I looked like a skeleton.  this is my dress (alfred angelo 854): http://www.alfredangelo.com/printable/dress.aspx?productID=d18329c9-e01b-49a6-8f2b-adc1f001a7af&categoryID=54246401-6ad2-4745-894e-d0dc006d72c8&zipCode=

I’m nearly 6’2″! I tried a ton of dresses in different shapes so I should be of some help… I think A is going to hit you in the wrong spot. A dropped waist is better on longer bodies, which is what I ended up getting. Dress A doesn’t have that. Dress B would be great, but dress C isn’t really my style.

That’s a post I made with pictures of me in all sorts of dresses so maybe that will help to get an idea of what you think looks good on tall girls.

    Good luck!

I also like A the best out of those choices. I’m 5’7″ and a size 0, and for me, mermaids, dropped waist and trumpets looked the best. I got completely lost in ballgowns and anything too flowy.

I’m a similar frame and I loved the mermaid! Those are cute though.

I’m 5’9 and typically size 3-4 normally. But I’ve gained weight in the last few months and am in a 6 now. I’m working on that though.

Anyways, I like the A line and the fit and flare dresses. But I like my bottom and having hips so I like to show them off πŸ™‚ Those hips make it hard to fit into some jeans, even at my smallest I’ve never been in a size 0 because of my hips lol.

Anyways, I think the A line and the fit and flare help make you look longer and I like being tall and looking tall πŸ™‚

My dress, fit and flare πŸ™‚

I show it off way too much lol

I love big and busy skirts on thin girls, and I think you’ll look great in A.

I am 5’11 and I never ever thought I’d like a mermaid dress and guess what I bought! A mermaid! It hugs my curves and makes me look tall. I’m 5’11 175.

@bohosioux:  Awww thanks, but it’s those damn hips that prevented me from getting the original kind of dress I thought I wanted! With your measurements I think you could rock a lot of different styles.

I ended up getting a somewhat custom version of the last one, with a rufflier skirt and a lined bodice.

@bohosioux:  Girl, judging by your measurements (modeling stats!), you were absolutely born for figure hugging gowns. Don’t let all that tulle swallow your body!
