Hey bees! Im a first time poster, just recently engaged. 🙂 I am Having the hardest time picking my colors for my girls and guys. My Fiance is in the Army National Guard which makes this tougher cause he will be in his Army dress blues. I LOVE weddings that have the guys in tan suits, but I like the vest only look better than the suit jacket look. Im just not really sure how the guys in tan would look with my Fiance in the dress blues…HELP!
I might as well share what I like for my girls in this post too. I am really in love with bridesmaids in grey. Any ideas???

At my MOH’s wedding, the guys wore tan suit pants, vests, and had their dress shirts rolled up to the elbow. It looked really nice and fit her casual backyard country wedding. Plus, it was hot as hell that day, so the guys were much more comfortable. I think it would look nice with your FI’s dress uniform. It would make him really stand out.
Do you have a venue in mind? It may look a little awkward if your venue is super formal and the guys aren’t wearing jackets and ties. Just something to keep in mind.
I’m just not sure about the tan/grey combination. Just not my taste personally. Maybe have the guys wear a lighter grey suit pant instead if you want the girls in grey? Just my personal preference though.
Congrats on your recent engagement. Happy planning and welcome to the hive!

@MrsPaulsBabyBallerina: Im planning on my venue just being a casual outside spot, we have looked at a few place but havent made a firm decision yet. If I went with grey BM’s I was going to go with grey suits. But i do think the tan and a coral or teal color would be pretty! I love the idea os having the shirts rolled to the elbow!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

I wouldn ‘t do tan with grey. Tan would however look great with coral or teal.
I think grey on the guys would look better with your FI’s dress blues though, and you could still do coral or teal dresses.

I agree with @julies1949 about the guys in grey, grey will really go with anything, maybe everyone in soft grey with ties and sashes that match and shoes,

Heh heh … this is irrelevant, but when I saw the title of your post, I totally got this mental picture of a bunch of guys dressed in tan pants & vests – with no shirts!
