Me! I won it in the Bahamas at a jewelry store, I love it! I didn’t realize how rare they were until I got home and did research about it. It’s one of my favorite necklaces.

@sehrler:  Thanks! Yeah, I never win contests, so I was so excited when they pulled my name out of the box!

my mom loves the stuff. Its such a pretty blue. have they re-opened the mines? I know a few years back some internal issues shut them down and hiked the prices of the real tanzanite up considerably.

I’m a December baby!! I didn’t realise its one of my birthstone ‘options’ until I looked it up after my SO bought me a loose tanzanite stone 🙂 its currently being set into a simple necklace but its a 6mm square princess cut with a lovely violet blue colour. I originally wanted to put it in a ring but the jeweller advised against it because its such a soft stone (6.5 I believe).

Will post pics when it arrives! In the meantime loving all of your pieces!!

Welll… okay then! 😉

It perfectly matches my RHR which my parents got me for graduation, which is also tanzanite and diamond.

@sehrler:  I want a tanzanite so bad! It would also be symbolic because it is from the country my fiance was born in..Tanzania!

Lovely rings/pendants ladies!!

I also have a gorgeous tanzanite stone which I received as a wedding gift. I’d kept it in my safe for years before I finally found a perfect setting for it!

Platinum setting with 2 princess/4 baguette diamonds (E-F/VS, .75ctw). I love to switch off my ring sets.
