I love Tapas so I would LOVE this however I know that sometimes Tapas isnt filling enough (my husband is always hungry after we go to a tapas restaurant) so just make sure you have enough!

I love tapas so that’s sounds great to me!  I’ve been to parties at tapas restaurants and was always full afterwards.  However, it seems like you enjoy the family style dinner service.  That’s what I’m doing too although instead of small plates, we are doing 2 salads, 2 pastas, 2 meats and I think 2 sides.  We also get 2 appetizers but I’m planning on doing those late night instead of right before dinner.  That’s in addition to our cocktail hour.  I’m not sure if that’s possible at your venue or if it makes sense money wise.  However, as long as you feel there’s enough food on the table, i say go for it!

This was my initial plan for the wedding, to serve tapas family style.

I love the idea of tapas! And just as long as you have enough options, the variety is what makes the experience fun!

This is what I’d like to do as well…one of the caterers we’re are deciding between (because I can’t stick to a decision) offers mediterranean style appetizers so I’m leaning toward them. I think this option allows more variety for dinner, but it doesn’t seem very common in wedding catering. We’ve also been entertaining the idea of having our reception at one of our favorite restaurants (two of which are tapas restaurants).
