We’re thinking about doing a cocktail type reception. We just came back from our tasting and were so impressed with the apps and small bites that we want to serve our food this way!
This is what we are thinking:
Cocktail hour: Hosted Beer, Wine and Sig. Cocktail.
Cheese and Salami Station, 2 passed apps (TBD).
Reception: People will have assigned seats and while seated they will have: a small plated salad, two small apps at each table, then 4 types of gourmet bites (TBD) brought in by waiters to be passed at tables. There will be enough for two servings each.
Dessert: We’re doing a cake bar so there will be a variety of cakes through out the night
Late night snack: Grilled cheese with a shot of tomato basil soup
Do you think that is enough food? Do you think people will think they got gipped even though there will be food everywhere thought out the whole night?
I’m really concerned about this, but my Fiance and I aren’t really meat and potatoes type people and seving steak or chicken felt contrived.
