Tapered baguette vs solitaire: which one would you pick?

Both are beautiful. I agree that the baguette setting will be difficult to find a band to wear with it. I had that setting and could never find the right band. No bad choice here though.

I would go for the baguettes. They are beautiful!

I just love solitaires so I have to vote for that one!

I have the tapered baguette setting for my e-ring because it’s very pretty and simple, but not too simple like a solitaire. There is a small gap between it and my wedding band, but I love the set.

I have a tapered solitaire. It was bought for the centre diamond and my Fiance had plans to reset it to a modern solitaire but I just loved the side baguettes and couldn’t possibly break up an antique so kept it and had a pig of a job finding a wedding band that looked right with it. We went with this combo in the end. Plastered everywhere in the bee. Sorry to bore those who’ve seen it before but as you’re asking for baguette ering and wedding band combos…

UK-bee :  Your ring is so stunning! I might chose something similar for ering myself if i decide going for a round cut, cause yours is so pretty!

Did you ever take photos while you were in search for your wedding band? Do you have any pictures with other rings together with your ering? 🙂 It would be interesting to see just as comparision!

pess :  grr. Yes I did. And deleted them off my phone now. I made a thread with various photos asking for advice with the photos but it was over a year ago so deleted from my history thread list. I really wanted a plain band to match my husband’s but it just didn’t work. Other options just looked off. It was the bees who suggested the baguette style.

I’m biased because my ring is a round with baguettes but I say GO FOR IT! I love what they add to my ring without taking away from the centre stone.
