Your registry is about you! If that’s what you’d like, then do it.

I’m a bit wary of Target because I’ve seen plenty of threads on here talking about how Target is very hard to deal with on registries. It seems that people end up with duplicate items and then customer service gives them a hard time on returns.

Otherwise I might have done a Target one as well. Their home items are cute.

I plan on using them for my registries as well. I might register somewhere else too, but FH and I don’t really need much of anything.

The registry is about the things you want/need and I don’t think either of those stores are “cheap”.

I can’t speak for Walmart but the Target registry program is a complete nightmare. You can do a search on WB and you will find several threads with bees discussing their issues with Target’s ridiculous and random system.

I had tons of issues from my items not showing up, random products I didn’t choose showing up, my registry not crediting when the item was purchased despite being scanned and then throw in Target’s crazy $75.00 maximum return with a receipt annual limit and you will find one crazy bride. I can’t even begin to tell you all the drama I have endured with my small Target registry. I do hope that yours goes a lot smoother.

I registered at target and its been fine so far. but i actually registered for more less expensive items at williamsonoma. but i do think the name might scare a few people away thinking that it will be more. ๐Ÿ™ just register wherever you’d like and people will find something in their price range, give you a giftcard, or just get whatever they want to get for you anyways.

We registered at Target and Crate & Barrel.  I LOVE Target as a store, but I absolutely hated their registry.  It is cumbersome, hard to edit, horrible in store, etc.  And funnily enough, most of the lower priced items we had were at C&B (they have a lot of small but awesome kitchen stuff).  I’d do Bed, Bath and Beyond, instead.  A lot of people buy online, anyways.

Go for it! Walmart has everything you could need and there’s a Walmart by almost everyone so it’s practical.  I definitely wouldn’t think someone’s registry was too cheap if they registered at Walmart.  As for Target, same thing except again, I’ve heard their registry is a nightmare.

EEK! Glad I read this, as we were planning to go to Target for at least a portion of our registry. ๐Ÿ˜

I registered at Walmart for my baby registry and had no problems with it.  The only issue is that a lot of people don’t even know that Walmart has gift registries (workers included) and don’t know where to get a print out or how to ring it up as a registry item.
