I honestly think it was a prank…

Someone could have asked the Target manager at their local store if they could add stuff to their registry, then just taken the scanner to the baby section.  No one really checks your ID when you do that in person.

By The Way, it is a pretty funny prank, and glad you caught it so soon LOL.

Hmmm…either someone pulled up your registry by accident when getting something for a pregnant friend…or you have a friend/family member with a wacky sense of humor. I would definitely contact Target to see what’s going on.

We registered yesterday and the same thing happend to us!! I came back to the house to put a couple of items on we forgot and found it. I tried looking back through to see if something we registered for was not there, and a bar code was misread and that was the issue. We just deleted it, as to not make anyone think anything false!

I can’t help but laugh at how hilarious that is! I would have a complete freak out if baby stuff appeared on my registry!!!! But it is an awfully great prank to play on someone, provided they have the sense of humor for that, LoL.

My fiance and I both thought this was hysterical – especially since you caught it. 🙂 We did go right to target.com to check ours though! If it was a prank, it was a good one!

My coworker is getting married next month and is registered with Macy’s.  Apparently they registered for luggage, (it’s really nice) and they each registered for one piece of luggage.

We were checking his registry b/c I wanted what he really wanted me to get him and what they really wanted and he discovered lo and behold!  SOMEHOW one of the largest pieces of luggage was changed from needing one piece of luggage to TEN of this certain piece!  We’re talking about a pretty large piece of luggage here friends!  Each time he’d change it back to needing only one, it reverted back to showing they wanted TEN PIECES!

My Fiance and I had the same thing happen to us! My future mother-in-law called me and asked if there was anything we needed to tell her. I had no idea what she was talking about and then she told me that diapers and baby blankets were on our Target registry. I immediately logged on and deleted them but I’m glad to know that this was Target’s fault and not ours. They must have a glitch in their system if it is happening in mulitple places.  Good thing you noticed!

The same thing happened to my Fiance and I when we registered. We were told it has something to do with their scanners. If someone else is in the store registering for baby items sometimes their items get logged onto the wedding registry and the baby registry gets wedding items. I just figured it was our luck, but then a coworker had the same problem. We just thought it was funny, but I could see where it could cause problems! 🙂

This is why I avoided registering at Target — just heard too many of these crazy registry stories! But I kind of admit that it would be both funny and horrifying to have people trying to politely ask you if there was any important news you needed to share…

That is pretty funny!  We haven’t had any issues like that with our Target registry – in fact out of all of our friends that are getting married almost all of them have Target registries, and I had not heard of anyone having problems such as this!

We registered primarily online though, so that might have something to do with why we haven’t had any issues.

This happened to my brother and his fiance. My mom was the one who caught it and wondered if there was something they forgot to mention (i.e. a baby on the way?). They have no idea how it ended up on there, but just deleted it and added more things!

If someone bought you a gift off your registry, and at the same time bought stuff for themselves (the baby items) they will all show up on your registry as if they were all bought for you. Just delete them.
