Maybe does it mean that those items aren’t available online?  They have that a lot at Target, in store only items.

The same thing happened to me, and none of my stuff was available in store. I also registered at BB&B, so I ended up switching my stuff to them. I think it is so frustrating to not have things available in stores, because so many people shop last minute and paying for shipping is a pain. Best of luck.

Same thing with our Bloomingdales registry, it was so frustrating that we opted to register at Crate & Barrel as well and moved as much as we could over to it and been very happy since.

I wanted to do my whole registry online.  My Fiance is against having a store registry because he would rather stick to the Honeymoon registry and not ask for anything else.  I think I need to provide options for those who do not agree with giving money toward the honeymoon.

Anyway

I was trying to do the Target registry online, and I just keep getting frustrated.  They don’t have towels individually online, only sets with hand towels and wash cloths which I don’t really want, I just want the towels.  Also, a lot of the bedding I like is on clearance right now which means it will be selling out and be discontinued before my wedding.  I am trying to find an alternative so I can have an affordable range of gifts for people to choose from.  I have tried looking at JC Penney and BB&B, but their bedsets are upwards of $100 and if someone is going to contribute that much I would rather them contribute that to the honeymoon, lol!

I have a registry at Target and I wish I did more research before I did it there!!!!  I found many things I liked online, but they’re not available in stores, and vice versa.  So since some people like to shop online and some in stores, I ended up having to do a little bit of both and having some of each on the final registry.  In addition, Target’s exchange/return policy STINKS.  Take a look at some of the reviews posted online….they won’t let you return or exchange anything off of your registry w/o a gift receipt, and a lot of people don’t give gift receipts.  This pissed me off a bit because I had two people give the same bakeware set, and one of them didn’t tell the cashier it was a registry gift when they purchased it, so someone else bought the same thing.  So now I have two identical bakesets with no gift receipt.  Other stores would make an exception for people with registries but the customer service people at Target have been inflexible, which is too bad……they said that if I contacted one of the guests that gave the set I could bring in a credit card statement as proof of purchase, but C’MON, that is (1) rude to ask a guest for that type of info, and (2) rude to ask someone else for their CC statement, period!!!

@MindyLeigh: You can return a certain number of items a year with your driver’s license if you don’t have a reciept.  I had to do this the other day – it’s really easy!

Every item on my Macy’s registry is being discontinued and I registered like 3 weeks ago.  I feel your pain!

I thought that with Target, if you printed out your registry at the kiosk that serves as proof of purchase to return it if you don’t have a gift receipt.  They might just give you store credit for that.
