@galloway111: Yeah the Kohls registry is so dang old school at the store. I put up with it because I love Kohls though and that’s where I found a lot of stuff we liked, lol.
Bed Bath and Beyond is amazing. Pottery Barn is also amazing. Wanted to register at target but I heard it sucked.
Makes me sad cuz I love target. They sent me something in the mail today about registering and getting a giftcard, and I just through it away.

@SuperDuperBrit: I’m curious about what you mean by “old school”? I didn’t have many technical problems with Kohls, except now I can’t manage or update my registry because I keep getting a server error message every time I log in. I’ve updated it before, so it’s just glitchy. Plus I found out you get 15% of everything not bought off your registry after the wedding, which NO ONE told us and it’s not in our huge packet of info at all, so I’m not thrilled that they left that out- I registered for more stuff now, lol.

We still have to print out the registry and claim the gift card. Haven’t had time yet. Our BB&B registry has been great.

yeah, i’ve had such a tough time searching for or buying gifts for friends in the past from target and wal mart registries, we avoided them for ours and did BBB, Macy’ s and Crate and Barrel.

We registered at Target because my mom insisted since she works there. But they pretty much have nothing but a thorn in my side. Yet that’s the one registry that everyone keeps using and that’s the one that I did by myself. I didn’t put much effort in what I chose. Everytime I log in, I get an alert stating that what I registered for is no longer available. Then I have to go look for a replacement which I may not find. Then I think that it sucks that once something is purchased, it is not removed from the registry. That’s how we ended up with a couple of duplicates.
I’ve already decided that I probably won’t use Target for our baby registry when that comes around. It too much of a headache.

Cady: That is sooo funny!

Half of our registry items ended up being what they considered “seasonal”, so halfway through our engagement, it was no longer available. Luckily, we registered for most of our stuff at BBB.

I was Maid/Matron of Honor in a friends wedding. She registered at Walmart and Target. It took us 3 hours which 2 hours were spent at Target. The items wouldn’t scan after 10 items. We had to go back and start all over with a new one. On top of all that, at her bridal shower and wedding she got multples of some of the same gifts because the items weren’t moved to wants to has.

Target registry is crap. My friend had her baby registry there; I bought a diaper bag and had it sent. I got a thank you card for some kind of light. I was confused and called my friend. They sent her a Detroit lions table lamp. Mind you we live in the east and my friend and her husband are rabid Jets fans. She went to target to explain and exchange the lamp and had to go through a ridiculous process. She did get a diaper bag but not the one on her registry as it was “unavailable “. Just a colossal f-up all the way around.

Our Target registry was just fine. And I had so much fun with that damn scanner gun…I wish I could shop with that thing all the time!

This is so interesting, because I did not have any problem’s with my Target Registry. We did have many many many problems with our Macy’s registry though.

Not to thread jack, but what kind of problems with Macys? Trying to decide whether or not we want to register there.

Really the biggest problem was the initial set up, which was the issue of that particular worker and not macy’s. The rest of the issues stemmed off the inital issue too.
