I’d go with the 600 thread count sheets! The more threads, the more oppulent/tightly woven. I don’t have any *yet* but they look and feel nice (stayed at a friend’s house and asked about the bedding)

I actually got sheets there last year that were 300 thread count easy care sheets. I absolutely love them and they came in a variety of colors. I also remember being excited that even at full price they weren’t that expensive – however, I can’t remember now how much I paid!!

Go for the organic ones. They are much softer than the super-high thread count. I think ours on sale were $40-50, probably $60 not on sale. They are VERY comfy, and have super deep pockets!

You need to consider the type of cotton too.  No matter what the thread count, if you have poor quality cotton, the sheets won’t last.  Look for Egyption, Supima or Pima cotton.  If the package does not say what type, then it is not great quality.

RobinBananas:  I don’t recall the tread count but I got their organic cotton ones and I love them. Great quality ans the turquoise color has held up well in the wash.

This thread is 7 years old. I doubt the OP, who has not posted in 2 years, is still looking for advice.

RobinBananas:  We love the RE jersey knit ones from Target, but then again, I don’t buy expensive or high quality sheets because the dogs share the bed with us and ultimately we end up with holes in them after a while, and it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s the cheap Target ones or my fancy Egyptian cotton! 🙂

December:  I seocnd this! we’ve had several different sets and they get softer as you wash them. Hint, do not wash or dry with any heavy towels or jeans.
